Whilst primarily classically trained, Peter is pleased to teach a variety of styles, believing that all successful singers require the same basics of technique and musical interpretation. He specialises in vocal techniques and voice qualities for Musical Theatre singing. His teaching is strongly based on an understanding of Vocal Physiology and technique combined with good musicianship. Whether wishing to improve your voice for your involvement in choral societies or professional or amateur performance, or just wanting to sing for your own pleasure, Peter’s singing lessons offer a path to success tailored to your individual needs. He is also pleased to help pupils with preparation for auditions and grade exams.
Peter's private teaching in Sheffield all takes place under the auspices of the Milsom School of Music, with whom he currently has a few vacancies on Thursdays and Fridays. These can take place at various locations across Sheffield or in your own home (dependant on your location and facilities). Please note that Peter does not teach at weekends.
During school holiday times, intensive week long courses are sometimes available for those who can not fit a lesson in otherwise.
Peter is a singing teacher at SLP College in Leeds, where he works with the up and coming Musical Theatre stars of the future, and at Birkdale School in Sheffield.
