Oratorio and Choral
Peter is available to take engagements across England and has a rapidly developing repertoire. Recent engagements have included Bach's Christmas Oratorio & St John Passion, Handel's Messiah, Britten's The World of the Spirit, Puccini's Messa di Gloria and many more. Opera
Peter has appeared as Aeneas in concert and staged performances of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas in Birmingham and Sheffield. Working in Sheffield University’s New Music Theatre Ensemble, Peter created the role of Georges Bracque in Violin and Pear in Line, a contemporary opera about the life of Bracque and his relationship with Pablo Picasso. This opera was composed by Mark Slater and devised by the cast under the direction of Jane Davidson. In March 2003 Peter played the part of the Badger in Janacek’s The Cunning Little Vixen at the Birmingham Conservatoire. This production was directed by John Fulljames and conducted by Stephen Barlow.
Peter has been a chorus member with Stanley Hall Opera in Essex, appearing in productions of Donizetti's Don Pasquale and Rossini's La Pietra del Paragone both directed by Annilese Miskimmon and conducted by Orlando Jopling. In 2005 he appeared in Verdi's Falstaff directed by Michael McCaffery and conducted by Orlando Jopling.
Song
Peter has a great love of Lieder and art song and regularly performs recitals in Sheffield and Birmingham. Keep an eye on upcoming events for details.
